· Pharmatest has sold its Biomarker Unit to ValiRX, a UK-based biotech company. (January, 2012)
As a part of strategic restructuring, Pharmatest has sold its Biomarker Unit to the UK-based biotech company ValiRX. The business unit was sold together with 5 families of patents and patent applications and related intellectual property. In the trade Pharmatest obtained a cash compensation, an allotment of ValiRX shares and an obligation to receive royalties from future revenues relating to the IP and for the life of the patents.

Although Pharmatest no longer offers biomarker measurements as stand-alone service, biomarkers and their use as part of Pharmates't preclinical drug development models remain a core function for the company. Read the full ValiRX press release here.

· Pharmatest acknowledged as one of the leading service providers in Finland (October, 2011)
The Finnish funding agency for technology and innovation (TEKES) has acknowledged Pharmatest as one of the key service providers in the field of hormonal cancer research and listed us in the portal of the Finnish Pharma and Life Science Expertise website. Click here for the full story.

· Pharmatest appoints new Management Team (June, 2011)
Pharmatest is restructuring its preclinical research operations. As a part of this process, company's CEO has appointed a new Management Team. Heading the Management Team is company's CEO, Dr. Jussi Halleen. Other members include COO Jukka Rissanen, R&D Director, Dr. Jenni Bernoulli, VP Business Development, Mr. Heikki Vuorikoski and Communications Manager, Ms. Henna Borisoff.

· Pharmatest and Clinixion Ltd merger (February, 2011)
Pharmatest Services and Clinixion Ltd. have completetd a merger in January 2011. Clinixion's core competence was the development of new diagnostic biomarkers, and especially its proprietary and patented NAV-3 technology. All related technology and IP was transferred to Pharmatest and the development of NAV-3 continues under Pharmatest Services.

· Pharmatest to publish data on a novel anti-cancer compound at AACR Annual Meeting (February, 2011)
Pharmatest Director of Cancer Research, Dr. Suominen will present an abstract with efficacy-data on a new anti-cancer compound at the AACR Annual Meeting in Orlando in April 2-5. This study was performed together with our customer, Bayer Schering Pharma AG. More information will be available after the meeting.
